The Highlands Christian Academy Lower School program is designed to give students in K5-5th grade a solid academic foundation, while integrating a Christian world-view. It is our privilege to teach boys and girls that Jesus Christ is to be preeminent in all areas of their lives, including their education. Academic excellence and biblical instruction are combined to teach our students values and character, in addition to their core subjects.
A strong emphasis is placed on core subjects, reading comprehension and creative writing. Core academic subjects include English, math, language arts, science, social studies, and Bible. The A Beka and Bob Jones curriculums are used extensively throughout the Lower School grades and complemented with other quality curriculums.
Each of our students receives personal attention from their Christian teachers who help them become all that God has planned for them. Advanced learning opportunities are available as well as special “help classes” for students struggling in a particular subject area.
